Thank you for planning, praying and participating in the district assembly and conventions. Most of you were present for all of the events. Makes me proud and honored to serve with a group of pastors who really care about each other and our unified effort: DEVELOPING CUTTING EDGE DISCIPLES.
Following are a few items that will be of interest to you:
- The Southeast Prayer Summit at TNU is only a few days away. This is a powerful life changing event. I am looking forward to experiencing this with you. Please feel free to contact me for more information.
- Thanks to your hard work and sacrifice, our World Evangelism Fund giving has risen from 72 to 95%. Please, call a meeting with your NMI president and finance committee ASAP to plan your giving strategy for this new church year. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world are depending on us.
- I have met with the Ruskin, Clearwater First and Tampa First church boards this week. During the pastor search period the following elders will serve in interim positions: Henry Mills, Ruskin, Tim Hancock, Clearwater First. and Ernie Lewis, Tampa First.
- Ocoee Harmony and Orlando Cross Point have entered into a ministry partnership. Ken Adams, associate at Cross Point will become the preaching pastor. Other staff and lay leaders at Center Point will offer expertise in discipleship, worship arts, church finance and starting a daycare. My prayer is that this model will become a trend across the district. Healthy team members unselfishly share their resources with others.
- Please continue to pray for Eugene Frame regarding the death of his father. Greg and Tawanda Mills are caring for his critically ill mother in their home with the aid of Hospice.
- Debbie and our son Ben flew to Dallas yesterday to meet with a specialist. Ben had a few good weeks during the winter but has been experiencing increased pain and loss of mobility the past 3 months. I have lost count but this is at least the 15th doctor to examine him. His appointment is at 10:00AM this morning. Please claim Jeremiah 31:4 with me today, "I have loved you with an everlasting love . . . I will build you up again and you will be rebuilt."
I love each of you and count it a privilege to serve the Lord at your side in Central Florida.
Grace and peace,
Larry
