Update Update

August 16th, 2009...

If you were not present in our services then it was your loss. Jay Sloane was not able to be with us on the 16th but we did have a "Pastor" in our midst. Pastor Steve Susnjar agreed to bring us our morning message and what a message he did bring. NO ONE was bored as Steve delved into the scriptures and had everyone taking notes and listening closely to the message. While our little church has been through some trials in the past few years GOD has been good to us to bring into our church qualified and spirit filled pastors and individuals to carry on his work. THANK GOD for his goodness to us. You see, The Lord does not forsake his children...even though we sometimes become frantic with obstacles that appear to get in our way....Guess what....HE has and sees NO obstacles. Glory to God!!

I want you to think about this...

We have Jay that is our interim Pastor, Pastor Mack Brown that will begin September 6th as our new Pastor, Tara and Steve who walked into our church about 3 weeks ago and have become involved as they are obeying God's direction in their lives. Steve filled in for Jay and Tara who will now be bringing us Wednesday Night walk through Revelation. (She spoke this past Wednesday and it was GREAT..what excitement...Kathy Morris and Al are Leading our music, Curtis who has brought us wonderful messages on Sunday Night, Beverly who plays piano and Rose lee who comes whenever we need her to fill in for Bev. Judy, Louise and Bev who have at last gotten the books pretty much under control.

We have new folks walking through our doors looking for that church where they can be fed spiritually..I would say that GOD IS IN CONTROL.....look what he has accomplished.

Please continue to pray and GIVE GOD thanks for all he has done.....Please try to be here to hear and support these various speakers.

WCCN Latest Update

On Saturday, Aug 1st the church board interviewed Rev Mack Brown.  He is from Arkansas and has pastored in Florida as well as Arkansas.

The board voted to introduce him to the church membership and on Sunday, Rev. Brown preached a great message on salvation followed by a potluck dinner where everyone was able to meet him and get better acquainted.  He received a unanimous ???yes??? vote by the membership to serve as our Pastor. We heard from Pastor Mack this week and after much prayer with his wife he has accepted the position. Pastor Mack Brown and wife will be here September 6th to begin his pastoral duties. We are all pleased with his decision and believe God is working in our church.

We also had an ice cream social Sunday night, while we had few here we had a great time in fellowship with Curtis bringing the message. The services Sunday were touching and we were all blessed.

This Sunday Jay Sloan will bring us our morning message and Curtis will bring our evening message. Please plan on being here for both services.

Sunday Morning we are still preparing breakfast from 9:00 -  10:30 AM and you can fix a plate and join  the Sunday School Class for discussion and learning.

Sunday August 9th, 2009 2:30 - 5:00PM The Hudson Family would like everyone to attend and honor "Shirley" daughter, sister, aunt, friend who recently passed away. Dress is casual and if you feel led to bring a covered dish to share that you knew Shirley would have loved, or a picture or memory then please bring them and share. We are here to share a life that was filled with love and has left that love with those left behind. Please support the Hudson Family by attending this "Celebration"
