WE are having waves of fun at Vacation Bible School, we call Wesley's REEF. Be sure to check out the photos and come on down to the underseas with Captain Candoo and the friends of the REEF. Prizes are being given out daily now as the children hear about becoming fishers of friends, and bring their friends to Wesley's REEF. More later as we need to catch up and sleep and rest up for another adventure. Be sure to check out some pictures from this week's fun, soon to be post this weekend.

You might be asking how many were church Wednesday night. "4" showed up even though the weather was horrendous. Pastor, Louise, Curtis and myself. We were having on of the hardest storms yet this season. Anybody in their right mind stayed home..so what does that tell you? The storm knocked out the phone and temporarily knocked out the alarm system. Pastor Paul rest everything on alarm and got it back working. As for the phone it was still out of order. I am sure by now all's back on and working fine.
We had prayer and headed home. Trust we will all see you Sunday.
God Bless

7/12/07
Sunday was another good service at Wesley Chapel Nazarene Church. Pastor Paul had another good sermon and our singing unto the Lord is always inspiring. I still say singing is a sermon of its own. Most of the older hymns are straight from scripture. If you want to memorize scripture then learn the words to some of old hymns.
While our numbers are low right now with all the snowbirds gone there are those that keep coming back and are great supporters for our church.
The children were dismissed to go back to Wesley's Reef with Curtis who is making it a great joy to a part of the sea world and to prepare for the message all those under water creatures have to give. (Just maybe Curtis will let the adults join in and visit Wesley's Reef.) Maybe after VBS.
Oh yes..let's remember VBS will be starting next week and we are planning on building our congregation from the children that attend. Let's be sure to support VBS !!!!
Thank you Curtis for your help and support and taking those young souls and building them into our future.
Thank you Pastor Paul for all your hard work and imagination on building Wesley's Reef. Your enthusiasm is catching!
I hear that Fred and Gladys Daniels will be attending a family reunion and will then be heading back to Zephyrhills around the 1st of August. We will be looking forward to seeing them.
I also hear....Gary Hudson is turning the big "60", but don't tell anyone.
Louise talks to Mildred Self quite often and Mildred is doing well. Let's remember Mildred and family in our prayers.
I spoke with the McIntyre's last week. They returned from a trip to Branson. While they had a nice visit they would not particularly like to live there. A little to hilly for them. We are happy they made it back to Z'hills with no problems. Welcome back Carlton and Elizabeth!
I also spoke with Beverly and Ed letting them know that we have missed them here at church and understand their situation with having adequate care for Mrs Gray. I do believe they could use some calls and esp. some prayers. God does not give us more then we can handle.
We are looking forward to seeing you Wednesday night and Sunday morning. Please plan on attending.

July 11th, 2007 Wednesday Night
Just a little update on our Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting. Our group tonight was small but God does not ignore small groups. HE was there! Pastor Paul played the guitar and we sang a few hymns. Pastor Paul had a problem with the "missing note", in our hymn that had four flats, he found the missing note just as we ended the 4-5 verses. (Wait till next time, he will whip right through it!). We reviewed our Sunday school lesson and realize the importance in trusting in God and then keep moving ahead. God does not want us to dwell on the past. How do you win new souls if you don't move ahead and grow with Gods blessings and put all your trust and faith in HIM. Good lesson. If you were not there then you are missing out on the blessings God has in store for you.
We had special prayer asking for God to touch Ellouise and the pain she is having with her back. Ellouise asked for prayer for her granddaughter that is expecting a baby boy and is having problems with the pregnancy. We prayed for Ellouise's daughter's co-workers Carol (cancer) and Pat (heart problems). Prayer for Arnold, Ella's son-in-law, Prayer for Robert Bates Jr. and his test results, Jay Berger and his wife, Ed & Beverly Quandt, Curtis and his leadership with the children & Wesley's Reef. These requests are now in God's hands.

Wesley's Reef;
WOW, if you have not been to church and seen the GREAT job they have done on Wesley's Reef, then you have missed out. There was a lot of work done on this project and now we need continued prayer that God will use his people to fill up Junior Church.

VBS
Vacation Bible School will be taking place the last of July. We intend to have a lot of children signed up and we will have helpers there to work with the children. If you want a blessing, come and get involved with our children. Let's pray that any new children that attend VBS will come back on Sundays and we will build our church on the new families.
If you can't be there to help then take a few minutes a day and kneel down and pray for this VBS program.

We are thinking of you all, and pray that you are all well and worshipping in a church near your home. We pray that you will be inspired to hurry back to Zephyrhills and join us. God Bless you all!

"AND GOD SAID...."
I said, "God, I hurt." And God said, I know."
I said, "God, I cry a lot." And God said, "That is why I gave you tears."
I said, "God, I am so depressed." And God said, "That is why I gave you Sunshine."
I said, "God, life is so hard." And God said, "That is why I gave you loved ones."
I said, "God, my loved one died." And God said, "So did mine."
I said, "God, it is such a loss." And God said, I saw mine nailed to a cross."
I said, "God, but your loved one lives." And God said, "So does yours."
I said, "God, where are they now?" And God said, "Mine is on My right and yours is in the Light."
I said, "God, it hurts." And God said, I know."

One day a while back, a man, his heart heavy with grief, was walking in the woods. As he thought about his life this day, he knew many things were not right. He thought about those who had lied about him back when he had a job. His thoughts turned to those who had stolen his things and cheated him. He remembered family that had passed on. His mind turned to the illness he had, that no one could cure. His very soul was filled with anger, resentment, and frustration. Standing there this day, searching for answers he could not find, knowing all else had failed him, he knelt at the base of an old oak tree to seek the one he knew would always be there. And with tears in his eyes, he prayed: "Lord- You have done wonderful things for me in this life. You have told me to do many things for you, and I happily obeyed. Today, you have told me to forgive. I am sad, Lord, because I cannot, I don't know how. It is not fair Lord, I didn't deserve these wrongs that were done against me and I shouldn't have to forgive. As perfect as your way is Lord, this one thing I cannot do, for I don't know how to forgive. My anger is so deep Lord, I fear I may not hear you, but I pray you teach me to do the one thing I cannot do: Teach me to forgive." As he knelt there in the quiet shade of that old oak tree, he felt something fall onto his shoulder. He opened his eyes. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw something red on his shirt. He could not turn to see what it was because where the oak tree had been was a large square piece of wood in the ground. He raised his head and saw two feet held to the wood with a large spike through them. He raised his head more, and tears came to his eyes as he saw Jesus hanging on a cross. He saw spikes in His hands, a gash in His side, a torn and battered body, deep thorns sunk into His head. Finally he saw the suffering and pain on His precious face. As their eyes met, the man's tears turned to sobbing, and Jesus began to speak. "Have you ever told a lie?" He asked? The man answered - "Yes, Lord." "Have you ever been given too much change and kept it?" The man answered - "Yes. Lord." And the man sobbed more and more. "Have you ever taken something from work that wasn't yours?" Jesus asked? And the man answered, "Yes, Lord." "Have you ever sworn, using my Father's name in vain?" The man, crying now, answered - "Yes, Lord." As Jesus asked many more times, "Have you ever"? The man's crying became uncontrollable, for he could only answer - "Yes, Lord". Then Jesus turned His head from one side to the other, and the man felt something fall on his other shoulder. He looked and saw that it was the blood of Jesus. When he looked back up, his eyes met those of Jesus, and there was a look of love the man had never seen or known before. Jesus said, "I didn't deserve this either, but I forgive you." It may be hard to see how you're going to get through something, but when you look back in life, you realize how true this statement is. Read the following first line slowly and let it sink in. If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it. When Jesus died on the cross, he was thinking of you! If you are one of the 7% who will stand up for Him, forward this with the Title 7%

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."
-Theodore Roosevelt 1907
