Wednesday, February 21st at noon, you are invited to come eat with Pastor Paul. Rumor has it he is a pretty good cook, but you know what they say about rumors...  Well this one IS TRUE! Bring a friend, lunch is on him! You will be treated to good eating, a devotional, and a place to go for a free lunch with friendly people.

Who said you can't get a free lunch anymore!

Because of our busy lifestyles reading God's Word on a regular basis is more difficult than ever. As a result pastors and laity often forfeit the wisdom, growth and comfort that come from daily interaction with the Scriptures.

That is why the Sunday School Ministries Department is introducing a powerful emphasis called, Making the Connection with God's Word, in the Spring of 2007. We are thrilled to partner with the American Bible Society and Faith Comes By Hearing to make this emphasis possible.

From Easter to Pentecost, you are invited to journey through the Scripture. You can receive a FREE, audio version of the Scriptures. There is even a special dramatized version just for children. In addition, a Spanish, Korean and Chinese version of the New Testament will be available to download for free during the emphasis.

You no doubt recall the story of King Josiah and the revival that came to Israel as a result of hearing the Scriptures when the people assembled at the Temple. Well, in 40 days between Easter and Pentecost we are inviting every congregation to experience the reviving power of God's Word. By listening for just 28 minutes a day, while you work, drive or even exercise, you can complete listening to the entire New Testament in 40 days.

Be watching for the special Make the Connection with God's Word mailing from Sunday School Ministries in the next few weeks. I know God will bless as you and your church as you take this exciting journey together through the New Testament.

SkyMed, is now working with Wesley Chapel Church of the Nazarene to suggest insurance for our traveling congregation, and help support missions as well. Pastor Paul is an agent of the company that serves to take its members home when a medical emergency or accident takes place while away from home medical insurance coverages and doctors.

Pastor Paul admits, "There is limited funding that a church can provide to help in a time of crisis, but such a program like SkyMed allows for coverage specific and comprehensive for the needs of our congregation whenever they are away from home. Even if they live here in Florida when they are traveling, and a medical emergency or accident requires they return home for medical care, SkyMed is an answer to prayer!"

The program's twelve benefits are better outlined on the website with recorded testimonials of the thousands of dollars people have saved being a member when they needed Medically Staffed transportation home.

We are thankful to SkyMed for their support in offering such a benefit to our people and to the work of missions.

SkyMed is the premier company that provides services throughout the North American hemisphere.
